Fathers Targeted in Obama's Revised Scholarship and Grant Program to Get Their Education
Education is becoming more important these days. It seems that you cannot get good job with a nice paycheck without it. Regular dead-end jobs are paying as low as possible to keep profits up, and any job worth keeping requires either a long list of experience or that post-secondary education. Since going to school is expensive, and there are so many other responsibilities to take care of, sometimes education is just a dream. Well, Obama is changing that with the revised Federal Pell Grant, and is targeting fathers more specifically.
Being a father himself, Obama knows what kind if time it takes to be a good parent, and that many times sacrifices are made. In a lot of dads' situations, education is the sacrifice. That doesn't have to be the case anymore. The government has just made it easier for you to apply for the Federal Pell Grant ? they require you to be 18 years or above, and an American citizen. You need to choose a school and a program out of the 5400 that are participating. This number includes online institutes as well.
Once applied, the government, based on your circumstances and tuition amount, will decide how much to award you, which could be up to $5100 a semester or $10,000 a year. You can receive these funds for up to 18 semesters. You will also be eligible for a $4000 tax exemption.
