A commentator on women's status in American society noted not long ago that men have far too much control in America. A recent Time magazine article showed that among the youth of America, the majority of both males and females believe it is easier to be man in America today. There are a host of reasons why this is the case. A major reason stems from the fact that historically, women have been denied access (by men) to the country's institutions of higher education.

Today, however, President Obama is reversing this trend in a serious way, and is calling upon all women in America who nurture a desire to study further to translate it into action. He is asking American mothers and women to get back to school, and not to be concerned about where the funds to pay for are going to come from. The Obama Administration knows that to keep on denying the country's women access to higher education institutions is likely to have the gravest consequences for an America already battling an economic recession.

To this end, the President has decided to release millions of dollars in federal grant funds every year for the purpose of aiding women in paying their tuition costs, help with daily living expenses, or to pay for childcare facilities. America's women, including mothers, are urged to apply for up to $10,000, provided that they are over the age of 18.

To get hold of these funds is a matter of doing an online search and to complete an application. Not a single cent of the funds has to be repaid. The mere availability of these grants is a sure sign that President Obama wants America's women to have total access to the country's institutions of higher education. So, go ahead and accept this once-in-a-lifetime chance!
